Levent Tokses, Sales and Marketing Coordinator of Özge Yapı, stated that Özge Yapı AŞ has manufactured prefabricated buildings suitable to all climatic circumstances inland and abroad and that actualized innovative and pioneering works in compliance with every country; and told that they aim to focus on overseas-oriented projects this year. Mr. Tokses said that “We kept our overseas expectations high this year. It seems that especially the big projects we received from Asian and African countries will continue until the end of the year”.
Mr. Tokses, noting that approximately half of the fabrication of Özge Yapı A.Ş. was actualized as exports, said that ” “The countries that predominantly we work with this year are Asia, Africa and Middle East countries. We expect an increase in business volume this year due to the lifting of the embargo in Iran. Therefore, Iran is one of our focus countries. There are also mass housing projects in Central Africa. Together with Central Africa, South America is a region that we have been watching for the last three or four years. He spoke “In short, özge Yapı A.Ş. continues to its studies and market research in all continents for every project.”
Mr. Tokses emphasized that they have taken part in the sizable projects such as steel construction mass housing projects, hospitals, schools, health centers, hotels and social facilities in the recent years, and that, at that point, they have developed their market networks day by day; and said that They, as a company, which continues to invest in prefabricated building sector, are planning to increase the manufacturing capacity with new machinery and equipment. Mr. Tokses told that they offer alternatives for product range and diversity with their R & D and P & D studies. and he informed that the new housing projects whose prototype drawings were carried out, will be presented to the taste of the customers in the coming days. Mr. Tokses answered to the questions of DÜNYA İnşaat Dergisi, a construction magazine, as follows:
– Could you give us brief information about your company?
TOKSES: Özge Yapı A.Ş., established in Pendik Istanbul in 1992, is one of Hekim Holding’s strong companies. Özge Yapı A.Ş. has been operating in the ready-made construction sector for nearly 25 years and produces unique projects inland and abroad with its pioneer and innovative consciousness. We undersign successful works in the steel construction and prefabricated building manufacturing, which saves vision in terms of building systems primarily in Turkey.
– What are your company’s activities and projects under focus?
TOKSES: Özge Yapı AŞ manufactures prefabricated buildings suitable to all climatic circumstances inland and abroad. Our company has taken part in the sizable projects such as steel construction mass housing projects, hospitals, schools, health centers, hotels and social facilities in the recent years, and, at that point, they has developed its market networks each passing day.
– Can you tell us about your product range? What is your particular product which attracts interest?
TOKSES: Özge Yapı A.Ş. can achieve all types of manufacturing and installation within its own body, from prefabricated housings to containers, from all kinds of construction site buildings (dining hall, dormitory, office building, social facilities and the like) to the factory and hangar buildings. It continues its works with regard to the multistorey steel construction buildings which receives demands much recently. – How did your company go through 2014, what are your goals and expectations for 2015?
TOKSES: 2014 was a year in which growth continued and targets were achieved in spite of all the economic challenges. The first half of 2015 was also very successful. We have achieved our targets in the first six months of 2015. This year, we kept our overseas expectations high. It seems that particularly the big projects we received from Asian and African countries will continue until the end of the year.
– Will you make investments in the coming periods? Can you tell us about the content of your investment?
TOKSES: The power of Özge Yapı A.Ş. comes from Hekim Holding, to which it is affiliated, and manufactures with domestic capital. Our company, which continues to invest in prefabricated building sector, will go on to increase the manufacturing capacity with new machinery and equipment, and to offer alternatives for product range and diversity through R &D and P & D studies.
– Do you export? How much of your manufacturing do you export to which countries? Which countries will you focus on this year?
TOKSES: About half of the manufacturing of Özge Yapı A.Ş. is export. Asia, Africa and Middle East countries are the countries with which This year we mainly work. Therefore, Iran is one of our focus countries. We expect an increase in business volume this year due to the lifting of the embargo in Iran. There are also mass housing projects which we are following up in Central Africa. Central America together with South America is a region that we have been following for the last three or four years. In short, özge Yapı A.Ş. continues to its studies and market research.
– Are there any innovations your company will introduce to the market in sense of determining trends?
TOKSES: Özge Yapı A.Ş. is a company that determines trends with its housing projects especially in the prefabrication sector. Our company, which presents unique project examples at Turkeybuild Fair every year, will continue its innovative and pioneering works from modern architecture to classical architecture and with works in accordance with the standards of each country. New housing projects, whose prototype drawings were done, will be presented to our customers’ taste in the coming days.
– What would you say if we compare Turkey with the European precast industry?
TOKSES: Prefabrication sector is known and used in Europe. However, due to the high material and labor costs, the prices are very high. There are manufacturers, especially in Central Europe. However, instead of steel construction, they are making wooden prefabricated construction. We continue to ship to the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark through our dealer in Germany. Especially HekimPanpanel system containers are highly appreciated in Europe and the demand is increasing.
– Can you give us information about the market size of your sector and the position of your company in the market?
TOKSES: Prefabrication industry is constantly expanding sector for 20 years in Turkey and all over the world and is a growing sector. The growth in the construction market is expanding the prefabrication sector. At the same time, prefabricated and steel housing projects are becoming widespread due to the fact that prefabricated buildings are alternative to reinforced concrete and can be installed quickly and easily. Our sector is open to development and growth.
– Can you evaluate the sector in terms of quality and standards by considering the problems of the sector? What are your suggestions for the solution?
TOKSES: Our company, as Özge Yapı A.Ş. is manufacturing in accordance with the international standards. Due to our export to more than 80 countries, we have all kinds of quality certificates so that all countries can accept our products.
